Dreaming of opening day

With the Ravens uncharacteristically not playing football in January this year, it’s time to prepare for baseball in Baltimore…Less than 90 days to go, get excited O’s fans!!

Jaws Ranks Flacco #4 Among NFL QBs
Jaws (ESPN’s Ron Jaworski) has spent the past few weeks ranking the NFLs quarterbacks one-by-one starting all the way back at #32 with Oakland’s Matt Flynn. He recently cracked the top ten with Andrew Luck and shocked some NFL fans when he ranked Drew Brees #6 leaving Brady, Rodgers, P. Manning, Ryan, and Flacco to fill out the top 5 spots.
This week he released his latest installment ranking Flacco #4 among all QBs coming off Flacco’s MVP playoff performance and Super Bowl victory. Many Baltimore fans have long sneered that the national media gives the Ravens very little love but after the Super Bowl run and the impressive stats Flacco posted against the very best teams in the playoffs—it’s hard to argue against Joe at #4.
(Pittsburgh’s Ben Roethlisberger was ranked #7, just to end that argument.)

The Orioles Call Up Henry Urrutia
As the Orioles travel to Texas to take on the Rangers in the first series of the season’s second half, the O’s management has decided to bring up Cuban outfielder/DH Henry Urrutia along with recalling Danny Valencia. The 6’5”, 26 year-old Urrutia drew a ton of attention from the O’s while batting .365/.427/.531 in the Minors and recording 20 doubles, 7 HRs, and 43 RBIs over only 67 games. Urrutia also played in the MLB Futures Game over the All-Star Break along with Orioles minor-leaguers Eduardo Rodriguez and Christian Walker.

Between pieing teammates and stuffing lockers with Donettes, Adam Jones is usually busy being the clown among Orioles players and over the All-Star Break at Citi Field it was no different as he, along with other stars, kept the mood light at the Midsummers Classic—Courtesy of the MLB FanCave

Opening day in this past weekend Sarasota

Everyone should go some time. I have more photos to upload from the good camera coming soon. These are just a few from the Saturday Twins game.
We will be at Monday’s games for the Yankees. I post more photos then.
Thanks to the folks at Visit Sarasota for our trip

It was great to see the Orioles back in action again. It was a 5-3 win over the Twins
