Baltimore Sports Round-Up for Thursday, March 22nd

This Mark Sanchez and Tim Tebow being on the same team thing, really has me thinking that Kyle Boller is going to pop out and say “April Fools.” The Jets are doomed. What do you guys think?

Free agency frenzy began today at 4. The Ravens have been fairly quiet, as anticipated, as most successful teams are at this point. Cory Redding is set to met with the Indianapolis Colts (and Chuck Pagano - ex Ravens DC), and Ben Grubbs is set to met with the New Orleans Saints tomorrow. Anyone you have your eye on during this exciting time of year as a replacement? Anyone in particular the Ravens should be worried about losing?

You probably know by now that the ridiculously horrible Mark Sanchez received a ridiculously horrible contract extension. It was such a bad decision, I honestly thought it was a joke at first. $58.25 mil, with $20.5 mil guaranteed - for a dude who can’t throw, can’t make decisions (except when it comes to a GQ spread, and those underage girls), and can’t stay upright. Not just coming from a Ravens perspective, but I’m sure many others agree with me - Joe is a better QB than Sanchize. So my question for you is - does this effect Joe Flacco’s impending contract, and why?

  • Ravens officially cut CB Domonique Foxworth as expected. Failed physical, knee injury not getting any better, frees up plenty of cap space. He may come back later in the offseason for a lower price, but personally, I don’t see that happening. What do you guys think?
